Question - How is the Horse Chestnut Tree used for medicinal purposes?
------------------------------------------------
Horse chestnut is listed as an astringent in several herbals, that means it
is used for things like hemoroids and wounds, and other cases where
shrinking and tightening of blood vessels is helpful. Some parts of the
plant are also poisonous, and great care in its use is required. Check the
Peterson Guide to Medicinal Plants or other books for more information.
