Dear CDF Collaborators,

CDF note CDF/PHYS/CDF/CDFR/2361, 'Sigma_BBC derivation and results', is
available in CDF$PUB:CDF2361_BBC_NORM.PS.  This note summarizes the work done
by Carla Pilcher, Stefano Belforte, John Marriner, and myself on the
normalization of the BBC cross section and also the uncertainty in the
integrated luminosity.  The note was presented at the EWK meeting on 17 March
1994 and is scheduled for blessing at the EWK meeting of 31 March 1994 and the
Friday meeting of 1 April 1994.  

The results in this note affect many CDF analyses, as we recommend changing the
BBC normalization, which changes the integrated luminosity of every data
sample.  Please read and comment to the authors (FNALD::CARLA, FNALD::BELFO,
ALMOND::MARRINER, FNALD::DERWENT) and the appointed godparent committee
(FNALD::LJN, aka Larry Nodulman) in time so that responses can be prepared for
the meetings of 31 March and 1 April.
