• On some platforms, BFD will not give the correct line number for the second PC that maps to a given line. This problem is detected and a workaround is implemented, but it makes the analysis very slow. AIX COFF 32bit executables are known for have this problem.
• Sometimes BFD won't be able to map a PC to a line number, file, or function at all. This is seems to be a problem with non-GNU compilers. Recent versions of binutils work much better with such compilers.
