Michigan Rejects $1 Million in Private Donations, Opts to Use Federal Money Instead

If private donations are available for project benefiting the public good, it would make sense to take the money, right? Officials in the State of Michigan didn’t think so, opting to lay funding obligations for a State park at the feet of American taxpayers.
