The American Corner in Jessore celebrated it’s first anniversary on November 21, 2006. One hundred local notables – including journalists, lawyers, and members of the governing board of the Jessore Institute – attended the day long program which included lectures, discussions and a photo exhibition. American Corner Jessore

The American Center Library of the U.S. Embassy has introduced its third American Corner in Jessore on Monday, November 21, 2005.  Environment and Forest Minister Tariqul Islam and Chargé D'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy Ms. Judith A. Chammas jointly inaugurated the American Corner in Jessore Institute Public Library.  The American Center Library has two more American Corners in Chittagong and Sylhet.
