FY2005 June Contract Accrual Estimates



On May 17, 2005, accrual estimate requests and forms were mailed to contractors holding fish and wildlife contracts in pending, active, or completed status or in closed status for less than one year. Contractors were requested to provide accrual estimates for work performed but not billed prior to June 3, 2005.


Important Dates and Events:

FIRST ACCRUAL ESTIMATE: FY05 SIMULATED YEAR-END CLOSE
Dates Event
May 9-11 Advance notification of upcoming accrual exercises sent to all contractors via email
May 17-19 Accrual request and reporting form for simulated year-end close sent to all contractors via email
June 3 Signed accrual estimates for simulated year-end close due back to BPA via fax or mail
July 1-September 30 BPA tracks invoices to contractors' reported accrual estimates

NOTE: In order to accurately track invoices to accruals, contractors must identify on invoices any portion that was reported in their June accrual estimate as such.
SECOND ACCRUAL ESTIMATE: FISCAL YEAR-END CLOSE
Dates Event
August 15-19 Advance notification of fiscal year-end close accrual reporting exercise sent to all contractors via email
August 22-24, 2005 Accrual request and reporting form for fiscal year-end close sent to all contractors via email
September 16, 2005 Signed accrual estimates for fiscal year-end close due back to BPA via fax or mail
September 1-December 31 BPA tracks invoices to contractors' reported accrual estimates

NOTE: In order to accurately track invoices to accruals, contractors must identify on invoices any portion that was reported in either the June or September accrual estimates as such.
