Date: 03/22/2000 11:49 AM Subject: Proposed Regulation FD Sir: There is much talk lately about new economy and old economy. Usually, that means cyber product vs. bricks-and-mortar product. For me, the new economy means the chance, even though I have never enjoyed wealth and have always been a working man, to test my wit and skill and try to earn extra money in the market. To the extent that I cannot get access to pertinent, timely information about a company, while said company discloses such information privately to a selected audience, I am handicapped and put at a material disadvantage that is to some extent class based. The economic haves use this access to trade at advantage over the econonic have-not-yets. I want a fair chance in a fair market. The key to that is open access to pertinent information. I strongly support the full disclosure initiative. David Hoge
