Abundance Data

Lower    Jamaica    Upper    Newark    Flushing    Bowery

The following data represent abundances (average per square meter) of the 10 most numerous taxa within each bay surveyed using a Shipek grab (0.04 square meters). Percentages in parentheses indicate percent of total infauna represented by these 10 taxa. Several samples from June 1995 were lost prior to processing, resulting in reduced sample sizes from the inland bays from that survey.
