Congressman Flake Spotlights Egregious Earmark of the Week
$48,000 for the Eccles Ice Center in North Logan, Utah

Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today highlighted a pork project contained in the Omnibus Appropriations bill for fiscal year 2008.



    This week’s egregious earmark: $48,000 for the Eccles Ice Center in North Logan, Utah to expand the science, physical education, and creative movement program.



    “We could sure use Tonya Harding and her ex-husband to kneecap this earmark,” said Flake.
