Show Description:  Over a four-day period, dental professionals gather to earn continuing education credit, network with other dental professionals, and learn about the latest products and services.  In addition, the House of Delegates meets during the Annual Session.  The House of Delegates speaks for the 153,000 members of the Association and for the dental profession in the United States.  Many related dental organizations also meet during the Annual Session.The ADA is important as it is the only national professional association of dentists committed to the public’s oral health, ethics, science and professional advancement, which leads a unified profession through initiatives in advocacy, education, research and the development of standards.  The American Dental Association's Annual Session strives to be the premier international dental meeting.

Technical Program: The ADA Annual Session features more than 250 scientific courses incorporating the latest technology in dental research, evidence-based dentistry, practice management, dental technology, and patient care. The new Education in the Round learning format courses is held in a 360-degree interactive classroom complete with audio-visual support. The majority of these courses are free with registration.  Fees for certain courses typically range from $50-$350. The ADA has also offered tours to local dental universities and dental offices exclusively for international dental professionals.  Cost may range from $15-$30.

Attendee Benefits:  International reception for all international attendees and exhibitors at no cost, which is attended by senior staff and elected officials of the ADA, hence promotes networking; a certificate of attendance for all dentists who participate in the Annual Session; and a letter of invitation to facilitate the visa process.

Industry Description & Relevance/Importance of Show: The United States is the largest producer of dental products in the world.  The show prides itself in offering not only an array of instruments and equipment as well as technical programs, but international attendees are strongly encouraged to attend in order to increase export sales. The world’s largest dental manufacturing, marketing and supply companies exhibit along with medium size and small companies form the core of the exhibitors.  Equipment and supplies not available outside the United States are exhibited for their export potential.
