Q8: Disliked Cheshire inability to open up selected documents in separate window. Felt locked into UI. Zprise was easy to use but too simplistic for advanced search. Q9: Might help to answer 7 and 8 above immed. after using the engine. I can't remember exactly what other features made zprise different. 8 searches are a bit tiring. Zprise: see (other comments on zprise above) plus limit to 24 results Q9: I don't value the "search for more like this" option, but that may be my deficiency, not that of the capability E x i t : P4_E Searcher P4 Q1: 5 Q2: 4 Q3: 3 Q4: cheshire 1 zprise 2 Q5: cheshire 2 zprise 1 Q6: cheshire 2 zprise 1 Q7: Cheshire: liked the fact that I could hit "return" rather than clicking "search" (one less mouse click) Zprise: like the ability to scroll through bib records at the same time as viewing text. Zprise is kind of "dumbed down", but that's ok for some conditions. I liked the side by side display of summary and full text. Q8: C II was a little frustrating in that with more search combinations it is less "reassuring". Zprise frustrated me that I could only see the top 24 (what is in the rest?). Q9: Regarding these two applications, I really liked, as I mentioned above, the power of C II. However I was intrigued that all I found myself wanting was something "good enough" And, that feeling was constantly threatened by C II giving me access to all the documents. This stuff is hard to figure out.
