In the latest example of virulently anti-Semitic rhetoric in the Arab press, a Syrian newspaper published a tirade against Israel that compares Zionism to Nazism, and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to Hitler. This article, in the tightly state-controlled Syrian press indicates an official policy of demonizing Israel and delegitimating the founding ideology of the state of Israel. More>>
ADL is deeply distressed by the resolution passed at the August 2001 Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America calling on the United States government to withhold military aid to Israel.
