For too long, American consumers have been unable to acquire enough information about the beer, wine, and spirits they drink. The federal government has been all too eager to require nutritional information on everything from hot dogs to chocolate milk, but the alcohol industry remains a curious exception. Considering the number of Americans who responsibly consume alcohol, I implore you to encourage drink makers (makers of wine, beer, etc.) to join with the rest of the food and beverage industry and list basic information on a Serving Facts label. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Mark Davenport 16918 Littlefield Detroit, Michigan 48235 cc: Senator Carl Levin Representative John Conyers Senator Debbie Stabenow Chairperson Nida Samona
