Invertebrates in Gray’s Reef include mollusks (snails, clams), echinoderms (sea stars, urchins, sea cucumbers), techtibranchs (sea hares), arthropods (lobster, crabs, shrimp), annelids (worms), porifera (sponges), and cnidarians (jellies, anemones, corals). This incredible array of animals can be found in all habitats of the marine sanctuary including coral and rocky reefs, sandy bottoms, and the open ocean. This group of animals is the most diverse and abundant group of organisms in the ocean.
