  • February 04, 2009 - Fernando Martinez, 36, of Kyle, Texas, was arrested in rural Hays County, Texas by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force with critical assistance from the Hays County SWAT Team. Martinez was charged in the United States District Court in Dallas, Texas with two counts alleging that Martinez possessed with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense.
  • February 03, 2009 - The United States Marshals Service’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force partnered with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office and other task force member agencies in the hunt and capture of 28 year old Reginald Adams in San Antonio. On Jan 17, 2009, Adams was erroneously released from custody after a number of charges (including a murder charge) had been dismissed.
  • January 20, 2009 - The last of the 3 suspects wanted in connection with a double-homicide that appeared to be leaning towards a cold case was arrested on Monday, January 19, 2009. Melvin C. Avina, 33, considered armed and dangerous was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident.
  • January 13, 2009 - Jerel Carter, 18, was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and Pflugerville Police in Pflugerville, Texas without incident. Carter was recently charged in Albuquerque, New Mexico for his alleged involvement in a November 2008 gang related shooting that left Irvin Samuels dead at the scene as a result of several gun shot wounds.
  • January 12, 2009 - The United States Marshals Service’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force partnered with the Texas Rangers and the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office in the hunt for a murder suspect that had shot three females.
  • January 09, 2009 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force spent Friday hitting the streets of San Antonio and surrounding communities looking for and apprehending multiple fugitives in various locations.
  • December 14, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) assisted by the SAPD and the Windcrest Police Department arrested murder suspects Jason Betts and Mithrellas Curtis in San Antonio/Windcrest area. The arrest and capture were based on leads developed by the United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, USMS personnel in Florida and LSFTF members in San Antonio.
  • October 21, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Farce (LSFTF) along with many other agencies conducted a two-day street operation developing leads and arresting sex offenders in Bexar County on October 19th and 20th. Over two dozen sex offenders have been arrested since Sunday morning when the first teams hit the streets.
  • October 15, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) along with the Repeat Offender Program (ROP Unit) of the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) arrested 18 year old Vance Keenan who is accused of killing another individual with an Assault Rifle.
  • October 07, 2008 - David Chenu, 30, an Austin area jazz musician and leader of the David Chenu Quartet was arrested last night by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Marcos, Texas without incident. Chenu was indicted by a Comal County Grand Jury on October 1, 2008, alleging six counts involving indecency and aggravated sexual assaults against a minor child.
  • October 07, 2008 - Aurelio Duran, 45, was arrested this morning by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at approximately 7:00 am in Florence, Texas without incident. Duran was charged in the Chicago area suburb of Round Lake Beach in February of 2008 following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a minor in 2001. Duran was charged with one count of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.
  • October 02, 2008 - For Dusty Gus Hernandez, the chase is finally over. U.S. Marshals arrested Hernandez, one of Texas’ Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, at a house in Arlington, Texas last night. The arrest brings to close an intense manhunt that began on March 12th of this year when Hernandez fled town to avoid trial in Midland County for two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Indecency with a Child.
  • September 29, 2008 - Rodney Lee Compton, 24, a recent Pennsylvania parolee was arrested in the small hamlet of Castle Rock, Washington at the foot of Mount St. Helens. Compton was arrested without incident by U.S. Marshals, Castle Rock Police Department, and the Vancouver Police Department Career Criminal Apprehension Team. Compton, released from Pennsylvania Department of Corrections on August 10, 2008, engaged in a multi-state crime spree starting in Jasper County, Christian County Missouri, and Pittsburg, Kansas.
  • August 27, 2008 - Lone Star Fugitive Task Force members were busy on Wednesday as they first arrested a man in Medina County that was a Comal County 10 Most Wanted and then later arrested a man in San Antonio that was wanted by U.S. Marshals in Laredo.
  • August 25, 2008 - Eight inmates, including a convicted murderer and another man charged with murder, escaped from the Curry County Jail in Clovis, New Mexico by cutting a hole in the roof. One of the men has been captured by Clovis Police, but the other seven remain at large. One of the missing inmates is Edward Salas, who was recently convicted in the murder of a 10-year-old boy.
  • August 12, 2008 - Cornelius Craig Robinson, 48, who failed to appear for sentencing for his involvement as the leader and organizer of an Austin area mortgage fraud scheme, was arrested this afternoon in rural Caldwell County a few miles west of Lockhart, TX. Robinson was arrested this afternoon without incident by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
  • August 11, 2008 -  The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrests of 31 year old William Thomas Jacobsen and 57 year old Marilyn McQueen Wesson. Jacobsen was wanted for Aggravated Sexual Assault on a Child.
  • August 02, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrest of Federal Escapee Jose Guerra. Guerra was arrested by Customs and Border Protection Officers at the Laredo Port of Entry as he attempted to come back in to Texas from Mexico. Border officials had been on alert for Guerra after it was learned he had fled to Mexico and U.S. Marshals had obtained a warrant for his arrest.
  • July 10, 2008 - Santos F. Garcia, 22 of Fort Worth was arrested this morning by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Leander, TX without incident after Garcia was identified as the alleged shooter in a homicide occurring last week in Fort Worth resulting in the death of a 17-year old male.
  • July 03, 2008 - Danny Lee Warren, Jr., 31 of North Henderson, Illinois was arrested by the Bettendorf Police Department, Mercer County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task yesterday morning in Bettendorf, Iowa without incident.  Warren is the second Williamson County fugitive charged with sex offenses against a minor arrested in the past 90 days outside of Texas based upon outstanding charges stemming from the mid 1990’s.
  • June 30, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with many local, state and federal agencies combined their talents to arrest fugitives throughout the entire Western Judicial District of Texas in a week-long Operation FALCON (Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally). The Western District of Texas encompasses seven Divisions throughout the state that include El Paso, Pecos, Midland, Waco, Austin, Del Rio and San Antonio. Each Division is responsible for a number of counties. Each of these Divisions partnered with fellow law enforcement officers June 22-28 to conduct Operation FALCON, the largest fugitive sweep to date in the Western District of Texas. This combined effort resulted in 993 felony fugitives arrested during the target week.
  • June 04, 2008 - United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) partner agency, the Bexar County Sheriffs Office, arrested Rodulfo today at a residence in San Antonio, TX.  Herlinda Rodulfo is suspected of causing the death of a young female victim in the Baltimore, Maryland area.
  • May 07, 2008 - On 05/06/2008 the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with the Temple Police Department, Harker Heights Police Department, and the Killeen Police Department arrested 18-year old Damiee Kendrick Johnson at an apartment complex in Harker Heights. Johnson and 28-year old Rico Doyle are both accused of shooting 18-year old Tyrone Haskins this past September, then leaving him to die in the street.
  • May 01, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) requested the assistance of the USMS sponsored Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in the arrest of 28 year old Jimmy Mendoza of San Antonio, Texas after learning he was hiding in California.  Mendoza has a significant criminal history to include Weapons Charges. Also a confirmed member of the Mexican Mafia, Mendoza was considered to be armed and dangerous.
  • April 25, 2008 - El Paso, TX - United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas, LaFayette Collins announces the arrest of Rodolfo Medina wanted in Juarez, Mexico for a 2004 Homicide.
  • April 25, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested 21 year old Adrian Jesus Guia Jr. of Kerrville, Texas after his expulsion from the Republic of Mexico. Guia is charged by indictment in Kerrville, Texas for Sexual Assault of a Child. Guia fled the Kerrville area before he was arrested and became a fugitive living in Coahuila, Mexico to avoid prosecution in this case.
  • April 24, 2008 - Swami Prakashanand Saraswati, 79, known to his followers as Shree Swamiji, was arrested at Washington Dulles International Airport by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force as he arrived aboard a flight from Europe.  Saraswati was indicted by a Hays County, Texas Grand Jury in April 2008 after a criminal investigation conducted by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office resulted in a 20 count indictment alleging Saraswati committed indecent acts with two children from 1993 thru 1996.
  • April 22, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the San Antonio Police Department’s (SAPD) Repeat Offender Program (ROP) Officers partnered to locate and arrest Indiana fugitive Joel Barrozo.  Barrozo had five felony warrants out of St. Joseph’s County in Indiana. The charges ranged from Rape to Criminal Confinement and Robbery.
  • April 16, 2008 - Keith Thomas Carreker, 53 of Bokoshe, Oklahoma was arrested by the Eastern Oklahoma Fugitive Task Force, without incident this afternoon after it was determined through local investigation conducted by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force that Carreker had fled from Williamson County in 1996 after he was indicted for sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by contact.
  • April 14, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 20 year old homicide suspect Jacob Sotello in San Antonio Monday afternoon after finding him hiding in San Antonio, Texas. Jacob Sotello came to the attention of the LSFTF after the San Antonio Police Department developed him as the prime suspect in the shooting and murder of 16 year old Hector Chavarria.
  • April 02, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) and the Boerne Police Department captured jail escapee Esequiel Pena today in Boerne, Texas. It is believed that on Sunday, March 30, 2008, 35 year old Esequiel Pena escaped around 3:00 p.m. from the recreation yard at the GEO Group Holding Jail in downtown San Antonio.
  • March 20, 2008 - On 03/12/2008 the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with Task Force Officers from the Temple Police Department arrested James Mendoza at a hotel in Killeen TX. Mendoza was indicted by a federal grand jury for 2 counts of Possession With Intent to Distribute (PWITD) Cocaine and Weapons charges. Mendoza is also wanted for questioning concerning death threats made against a Temple Police Department narcotics officer.
  • March 10, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) along with the New Braunfels Police Department (NBPD) SWAT team arrested Adam Torres in New Braunfels Monday afternoon.  Torres came to the attention of the LSFTF at the request of the Seguin Police Department. Torres had recently gone AWOL from the military and had accumulated criminal charges in connection with domestic violence. Torres even broke into his estranged wife’s home in violation of a protective court order in Seguin. Until today, Torres had successfully evaded authorities both in vehicles and on foot. 
  • March 04, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrest of Carnel Davis in Birmingham Alabama by the Gulf Coast Regional Task Force. Davis was wanted by the Killeen Police Department as a suspect in a murder that occurred on September 22nd of 2006 in Killeen Texas. After exhausting all leads in the local area, the Killeen Police Department contacted the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Waco Texas for assistance. Information was developed by the LSFTF that Davis was using his brother’s identification, and was believed to be hiding in the Birmingham area. An investigative lead was forwarded to the Gulf Coast Regional Task Force who successfully located and arrested Davis without incident on February 26th 2008 at a girlfriend’s residence in Birmingham. Davis is also wanted for questioning in an additional homicide that occurred in Birmingham Alabama.
  • February 29, 2008 - Ricardo Jaimes of Edinburg, TX, was arrested yesterday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force without incident. The Task Force received information from the U.S. Marshals Service, Grand Rapids office advising that Jaimes, the remaining fugitive in a drug conspiracy, had fled from a November 2007 federal indictment handed down in the United States District Court in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Additional information indicated Jaimes would temporarily be in the Buda area. The Task Force initiated surveillance in and around Buda after it was learned what vehicle he would possibly be in. After extensive surveillance throughout the week, Jaimes’s vehicle was observed entering the Cabela’s parking lot where he was surrounded and taken into custody. 
  • February 29, 2008 - Jorge O. Benavides of Buda, a fourth suspect identified in last weeks kidnapping and ransom of a 74-year old Williamson County man recovered in San Antonio, was arrested outside his home in the 300 block of Cody Lane, in Buda, Texas this evening at approximately 5:15pm by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Benavides was taken into custody without incident after extensive surveillance by the Task Force throughout the day culminated in Benavides’s arrest shortly after he departed his residence.  
  • February 25, 2008 - The United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) is pleased to announce that the USMS sponsored Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force caught up with two individuals suspected in the murder of Christopher Duncan. Deputy Marshals from the Brownsville, Texas Office were out looking for this couple based on leads developed Saturday in Corpus Christi after an additional suspect, Robert Patrick White was arrested.
  • February 20, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 38 year old Hayward Murphy in San Antonio based on information developed by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force (GCVOTF) in Laredo, Texas. Hayward Murphy has been on the run since June 22, 2007 when he failed to show up for a Federal Court hearing that was scheduled in Laredo, Texas.
  • February 20, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 23 year old Travis Robinson of Thurston County, Washington, at a Greyhound Bus Station in San Antonio. Robinson was wanted on numerous felony warrants in Washington. Robinson was charged on February 14th, 2008 with Extortion, 3 Felony Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and 2 Felony Counts of Telephone Harassment.
  • February 20, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) is pleased to announce that 33 year old Bobby James Carr was arrested today by the United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored San Diego Fugitive Task Force in San Diego, California after being on the run since 2000.
  • February 08, 2008 - U.S. Marshals from Houston, TX arrested Jeremy Lynn Branum just north of Houston, at a mobile home park in Magnolia. Branum was wanted for Sexually Assaulting a young girl in Odessa in January, 2007.
  • February 08, 2008 - U.S. Marshals and members of the Topeka, Kansas Police Department arrested Geechie Devaine Templeton at an apartment complex in Topeka, Kansas. Templeton was wanted for the November 9th, 2007 murder of Gabriel Hernandez in Odessa.
  • February 08, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 51 year old Ruben Vela in San Antonio late Thursday night. Ruben Vela was captured by LSFTF members and San Antonio Police Department Officers to include Repeat Offenders Program (ROP) Detectives and Patrol Officers. Vela was the target of an investigation by the Waco Police Department. Investigators developed an address for Vela in San Antonio and utilized their reach through the Waco Division of the LSFTF to capture Vela. Vela is charged with 7 separate warrants of Indecency with a Child.
  • February 05, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) along with the San Antonio Police Department's (SAPD’s) Repeat Offenders Project (ROP) and Gang Unit arrested Elijah Mackey on Federal and State Warrants. Elijah Mackey, 29, is no stranger to law enforcement. Mackey has a criminal history that includes numerous arrests for assaults as well as drug arrests.
  • January 29, 2008 - When Homicide Suspect and Mexican Mafia Gang Member David Sauceda escaped from the Bexar County Jail on October 28, 2007, he quickly linked up with his girlfriend Angela Jaime and her two young boys ages 3 and 4.  On January 26, 2008, David Sauceda was arrested near his residence in Mexico but Angela Jaime was not present.  On January 29, 2008, Angela Jaime was arrested by United States Marshals Service personnel from the Laredo Office at the Port of Entry in Laredo. Jaime will be brought back to Bexar County today to answer her charges.
  • January 27, 2008 - The U.S. Marshals coordinated the apprehension and capture of a “15 Most Wanted” fugitive Saturday in Mexico. David Sauceda, a jail escapee facing murder charges, was detained by Mexican authorities when a joint, international law enforcement effort found him in Tangacicuaro, Michocan, Mexico.
  • January 25, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested former Pearl Mississippi Correctional Officer Jennifer Readus in San Antonio. In 2006, Jennifer Readus was a Correctional Officer employed at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl, Mississippi. On November 9, 2006, a warrant was issued for her arrest after Readus failed to appear in Rankin County Circuit Court to answer an indictment charging Readus with Sexual Activity between a Law Enforcement Officer and a Prisoner.
  • January 25, 2008 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) along with the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers announce the arrest of homicide suspect, Juan Manual Garcia.
  • January 11, 2008 - Today the United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Louisiana fugitive Albert Holmes (age 27) after making entry into a Seguin motel room at 5:45 a.m. Holmes is wanted in Ouachita Parrish, Louisiana, for Armed Robbery, Kidnapping and Theft.
  • December 17, 2007 - The U.S. Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrest of 29 year old Adrian Scott Mclendon. Mclendon was wanted on numerous felony warrants by the Waco Police Department, Mclennan County Sheriff’s Office, Hill County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Mclendon was listed as one of the Waco Police Departments Top 10 most wanted fugitives and has an extensive violent criminal history.
  • December 12, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrest of 28 year old Rico Doyle. Doyle was wanted by the Killeen Police Department for the murder of Tyrone Haskins which occurred on 09/30/2007 in Killeen, Texas. Doyle has a violent criminal history including arrests for armed robbery, weapons, and evading arrest and was considered to be armed and dangerous.
  • December 07, 2007 - Albert Segura, 36, of Austin was apprehended by the Procuraduria General de Justicia del Estado de Coahuila (PGJE) last night in a Cuidad Acuna neighborhood without incident. Segura was expelled from the Republic of Mexico after immigration authorities determined Segura had no legal status to remain in Mexico. Segura was handed over at the Port of Entry in Del Rio, Texas to the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force where Segura was formally arrested for a homicide that occurred in Travis County last month.
  • December 05, 2007 - Richard Pate, 50, of Georgetown was arrested in the Costa Rican highlands outside of the capital city of San Jose, Costa Rica. Pate’s arrest culminated a two and half year investigation ending with Pates arrest in Atena, Costa Rica by Costa Rican authorities on December 1st. Pate was arrested without incident and quickly deported to the United States for having no legal immigration status in Costa Rica. Pate stands charged in Williamson County pursuant to a June 2005 allegation that he sexually assaulted a child.
  • December 04, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 23 year old Kamari Harp. Harp was wanted by the Temple Police Department for the felony charge of Aggravated Robbery.
  • November 14, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested 56 year old Arturo Abundis. Abundis was wanted by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for the felony charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
  • October 29, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is offering a $2,000.00 reward for information that leads to the arrest of escaped accused killer, David Sauceda.  Sauceda escaped from the Bexar County Jail by posing as another inmate that had made bond.
  • October 29, 2007 - On Thursday, October 25, 2007, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Midland was contacted by U.S. Marshals from Corpus Christi with information that Bank Robbery suspect Richard Lawrence Randall may be in the Midland area, driving a white Cadillac with North Carolina license plates, and possibly armed.
  • October 16, 2007 - The U.S. Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Austin resident Bravlio Briones. Briones is accused of getting into an argument with friends outside of the El Tijuana Bar in Austin on October 15, 2007. According to reports, Briones stabbed one man and ran over another man and then stabbed a third who tried to stop the fight. Another report states that Briones was shot in the arm, possibly by one of the victims.
  • October 12, 2007 - Fugitive Sex Offender Robert St. Dennis was arrested in Wishram, WA by Deputy Marshals from the E/WA.  St. Dennis was wanted by the Copperas Cove, TX Police Dept. for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender in Texas and by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
  • October 12, 2007 -  It seemed simple enough. If you’re on the run from the law, change your name and move to a different city. It worked for Jesus Thomas Bujanda-Saenz for twelve years. In June of 1995, he was charged with violating his probation on a stolen vehicle charge. Then in September of the same year, he was indicted by a Midland County Grand Jury, and arrested for Sexual Assault. When he made bond on that case, he decided that it was time to leave town and change his identity. What he didn’t plan on, was that the U.S. Marshal’s sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force would one day be on his trail.
  • October 12, 2007 - Barry Craig Nielsen, 55, of Comal County was arrested without incident yesterday in Austin by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.  In February of 2006, a joint investigation with the Comal County Sheriff’s Department and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement discovered child pornography on Nielsen’s computers at his home in Bulverde, Texas.
  • October 09, 2007 - Edward Tovar Jr., 17, of Austin, suspected of fatally stabbing 24-year old John Reynero during an altercation in Southeast Austin on September 30th was arrested on October 9th, by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Northwest San Antonio. Tovar was taken into custody without incident.
  • October 03, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force announces the arrest of sexual offender, Christopher Lee Jackson.  When Jackson went missing, a lot of people became very concerned. With a previous conviction of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Jackson had been ordered by the court to register as a sex offender in Ector County, and to report any change of address to the probation office.
  • October 03, 2007 - Members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a former husband and wife for Sexual Assault of a Child.  Both Monica Holland and her ex-husband Timothy Holland were wanted by the Waco Police Dept. for a sexual assault of a child which occurred in 2005.
  • September 28, 2007 - Vicente Jaimez-Hernandez escaped from the jail in Crystal City, Texas on the evening of September 27, 2007.  Jaimez-Hernandez overpowered a correctional officer and took her shotgun. Jaimez-Hernandez was serving a sentence of 376 months for armed carjacking at the time of the escape.
  • September 27, 2007 - Sandra Rosedale Gaitan, 24, of Houston was arrested in Round Rock by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Round Rock Police Department. Gaitan was sought by the task force pursuant to a Capital Murder charge out of Harris County. An investigation initiated by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, a U.S. Marshals Service sponsored fugitive task force out of Houston determined Gaitan fled the area after a murder where Gaitan is alleged to have participated in the 2002 homicide of a 16 year old male in Houston.
  • September 25, 2007 - Carlos Aguilera, 23, of Arizona was arrested by the Policia Ministerial de Tamaulipas, Child Abduction Response Team in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Working closely with their Mexican Law enforcement partners, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force out of Laredo developed information throughout the evening that Aguilera had fled from Austin to the Mexican border town of Nuevo Laredo with a 23-month old girl who was kidnapped Sunday evening in Austin.
  • September 21, 2007 - On Sept. 18, 2007, USMS Major Case Fugitive, Pedro Pete Hernandez surrendered to law enforcement at an International Port of Entry (POE) in Laredo, TX.  Hernandez was wanted by the City of Waco Police Dept. for Homicide and the USMS for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution. 
  • September 13, 2007 - Emilio Rodriguez, 25 of Illinois was arrested this evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Rodriguez was sought after he fled the suburban Chicago, Illinois area of Maywood after an alleged 2006 homicide. The 1st degree murder charge appeared to have targeted a rival gang member.
  • September 10, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces the arrest of serial rapist Jose Luis Lopez.  The LSFTF in Midland received information from the U.S. Marshals Service in Lubbock that Lopez may possibly be in the Midland area. Lopez had been linked to 9 sexual assault cases in Lubbock and Midland through DNA evidence, and warrants for his arrest were issued in Lubbock.
  • September 08, 2007 - On September 7, 2007, members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force responded to an exigent request from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force regarding Robert Capps, a suspected child killer.  In August, Capps brutally beat his 6-month old stepson and 2-year old step daughter.  The infant later died as a result of the trauma.  Realizing the inevitable, Capps fled W/TX.   
  • September 05, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force (GCVOTF) in McAllen, Texas, arrested Michael Steven Alaniz who was wanted on Federal drug charges out of San Antonio.  Michael Alaniz checked his luggage on a flight bound for Chicago with a final destination of Cleveland, Ohio. Alert Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Screeners spotted something suspicious in the luggage of Alaniz. San Antonio Airport Police identified what appeared to be black tar heroin that was heavily concealed in wrapping.
  • August 29, 2007 - United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas, LaFayette Collins, announces the arrest of Christopher Moore. On July 17, 1997, Christopher Moore escaped from Federal Prison Camp La Tuna in El Paso, Texas after being committed to the custody of the Attorney General for a period of 88 months. Moore was originally convicted and sentenced for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.
  • August 27, 2007 -  The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) announces that Homicide suspect Paul Devoe was arrested by the United States Marshals Service sponsored New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (NY/NJ RFTF) in Shirley, New York.
  • August 16, 2007 - Seth Hilliker, 35 of Austin was arrested this afternoon in North Hampton, MA by the United States Marshals Service and North Hampton Police. Hilliker was sought pursuant to allegations that Hilliker tried to touch a 4-year –old girl inappropriately at a Half-Price Books in South Austin on June 5.
  • August 09, 2007 - Today the United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with the San Antonio Police Department Repeat Offender Program (SAPD-ROP) arrested Lorance Dontae Hill who is charged in the Capital Murder of a Child.
  • July 31, 2007 -  The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with the San Antonio Police Department SWAT and Repeat Offender Program arrested Georgia resident Mario Villareal. According to a complaint filed in Georgia, Mario Villareal assaulted his mother over the course of the night of March 29, 2007.
  • July 30, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Jose Miguel Gonzalez late Sunday afternoon at the same apartment complex where this case started. Jose Gonzalez is the suspect charged with the Attempted Capital Murder of Veteran San Antonio Police Officer, Richard Ruiz.
  • July 27, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is offering up to a five thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect charged with the Attempted Capital Murder of Veteran San Antonio Police Officer, Richard Ruiz.
  • July 26, 2007 - Late Wednesday evening (July 25, 2007), the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Western District of Texas, arrested Terrence Chase Craft. Craft committed the felony offenses of capital murder and attempted murder in San Antonio on July 17, 2007.
  • July 12, 2007 - Jose Casarez thought he could hide from justice by using an assumed name of Arthur Hamelin and leaving the state in which his crimes had occurred. This afternoon Casarez’s flight from justice ended when the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested him at a construction sight in San Antonio.
  • July 09, 2007 - Tribute in the Congressional Record By Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas Honoring the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF).  The LSFTF, which commenced its work in May of 2005, is the principal law enforcement agency responsible for fugitive enforcement in the Western District of Texas.
  • July 03, 2007 -  The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Joshua Owen after receiving information from the Dallas/Fort Worth-Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW-FAST) that Owen may be hiding out in San Antonio. Joshua Owen was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Owen is accused of beating a former girlfriend with a handgun, sticking the handgun in her mouth and busting at least one of her teeth with the gun.
  • June 30, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) arrested Victoria, Texas homicide suspect Jesse (aka Chuey) Tejeda in San Antonio. An arrest warrant was issued on June 14, 2007 in Victoria charging the 31 year old Tejeda with Capital Murder in the beating-drowning death of Juan Palacios 35, of Victoria. Tejeda is also an alleged member of the Mexican Mafia and was considered armed and dangerous.
  • June 14, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the San Antonio Police Department’s Repeat Offenders Unit (ROP) apprehended Edmond Johnson, one of the most wanted fugitives from Kenner, Louisiana. Johnson, 23, was wanted for numerous crimes in Louisiana, including aggravated assault on a police officer; illegal possession of marijuana, crack cocaine, and hydrocodone tablets; resisting an officer; four counts of battery on police officers; criminal trespass; and disturbing the peace.
  • June 12, 2007 - On June 7, 2007, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested sex offender Arron Eason for failing to register as a sex offender, a violation of the Adam Walsh Act. Eason was originally arrested in Hope, Arkansas, in 1998 for molesting a minor.
  • June 11, 2007 - Diane Montana had thought she had the perfect place to hide from authorities. The home she was renting had a root cellar. A hole had been cut in the floor boards and a dirt floor room large enough for an NBA player to stand upright had been dug out. In the back of this darkened room was a cutout ledge in which a person could hide. Montana’s plan was perfect except for the fact members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force do not stop looking until they catch their fugitive.
  • June 01, 2007 -  United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas, LaFayette Collins, announces the return of Ismael Alfredo Terrazas-Torres from the Republic of Mexico. On December 13, 1989, Terrazas escaped from Federal Correctional Institution La Tuna in El Paso, after being committed to the custody of the Attorney General for a period of 151 months.
  • May 31, 2007 - Beginning early on (May 14 – 25, 2007) Monday morning and concluding on Friday, the West Texas HIDTA fugitive task force led by the U.S. Marshals Service concluded a large scale, multi-jurisdictional fugitive operation in El Paso. The operation targeted area fugitives wanted for drug offenses and crimes of violence.
     
  • May 31, 2007 - On May 30, 2007, Lone Star Fugitive Task Force officers from nine participating federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies began an intensive one-day operation. Operation Spring Cleaning focused on the apprehension of felons either wanted for crimes of violence or having a history of violent crime. The primary goal of the operation was to put fugitives on notice that law enforcement will work together to assure that they are brought to justice.
  • May 11, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force along with the Val Verde County Sheriff’s Office announce the arrest of Jose Rivera, an escaped convict who was captured in Miami last week by the Miami-Dade Police Department.
  • May 11, 2007 - The United States Federal Courthouse is guarded by some of the most high tech equipment available to today; however no technical advancement will ever surpass the high standard of vigilance provided by the men and women who work as a Court Security Officer (CSO).  Earlier this morning that dedication led to the arrest of Jargen Kyle Thompson a fugitive wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.
  • May 08, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force combined resources with numerous state and local agencies in Frio County to go after fugitives charged with state parole violations and other felony charges.
  • April 24, 2007 - On Monday, April 23, 2007, Texas State Senator Jeff Wentworth read a resolution from the Senate floor of the State Capitol in Austin, honoring the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and its accomplishments. Over fifty law enforcement officers representing over twenty agencies attended the ceremonies.
  • April 20, 2007 - April marks the two year anniversary since the inception of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. During that time the task force has led the nation in arrests.
  • April 19, 2007 - Lone Star Fugitive Task Force partner agencies in San Antonio charge and arrest 22 year old Ernest Gonzales with the offense of Indecency with a Child/Exposure.  On April 10, 2007, a 15 year old student from Fox Tech High School was on her way home from school when this incident took place.
  • April 18, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the San Antonio Police Department’s Repeat Offender Program (ROP) partnered to locate and arrest Homicide suspect Luis Trevino. The body of a woman found by a passer-by in a shallow grave is believed to be that of a missing San Antonio area singer named Alex Countryman.
  • April 11, 2007 - Juan Carlos Zambrano, 44 of Austin was arrested this morning in Chicago by the United States Marshals Service, Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. Zambrano has been a fugitive since being charged in March of 2007 by Travis County for 2 counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a 1st degree felony.
  • April 10, 2007 - Adrian Green and Darren Darden’s flight ended on a busy Beaumont Street this afternoon. Two United States Marshals Service led Fugitive Task Forces partnered together to arrest both Green and Darden.  Green and Darden are accused in the first murder in over a decade in Converse, TX.
  • April 09, 2007 - On Easter Sunday, Fatemeh Angela Harkness was arrested at JFK airport in New York.  In May of 2005 Harkness was arrested by officials in Dubai who had worked with the United States Marshals liaison to INTERPOL and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in their international quest to apprehend Harkness. Harkness failed to appear for sentencing after her conviction for fraud and skipped out of the country.
  • April 06, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force announces the nomination of Special Deputy United States Marshal Mark Benavidez as an America’s Most Wanted All Star. Deputy Benavidez has been a decorated member of Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for fourteen years, spending three of those years assigned to the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
  • April 05, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the San Antonio Police Department’s (SAPD) Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) partnered to locate and arrest fugitive Latin King Gang member Gilbert Rodriguez late yesterday afternoon.
  • April 03, 2007 - On April 2, 2007, Juan Felan was arrested in Aransas County Texas by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force-Corpus Christi Division. Felan was wanted by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on multiple counts of Sexual Assault of a Child.
  • March 30, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Jose Antonio Espinoza this evening in Northwest Austin. Espinoza was sought by the task force after he failed to appear for his June 2006 sentencing in the United States District Court in San Antonio, Texas.
  • March 20, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Robert Cruz late Monday night in a residential area near Meadow Point and Royal Haven. Cruz was the last of six suspects captured after a warrant for his arrest was issued in the recent beating death of a man in San Antonio.
  • March 19, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force acting on information provided by the United States Marshals Service led Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force from Atlanta, Georgia, arrested Derrick Charles Francois in San Antonio. Francois is wanted out of Georgia on 5 counts of Aggravated Assault by Shooting.
  • March 12, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested those responsible for the deaths of the two infant children recently discovered wrapped in trash bags under a home in San Antonio.  The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force capped one of the largest manhunts to ever take place in San Antonio when they arrested Valerie Lopez and Jerry Salazar at a residence in South San Antonio.
  • March 09, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is offering a $5000.00 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the deaths of the two children recently discovered under a home in the 1300 block of W. Winnepeg in San Antonio.
  • March 08, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, the Dallas-Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, and the Val Verde County Sheriffs Office combined forces to arrest Ismael Ortiz III.  Ortiz was convicted of sexually assaulting a 15 yr old female in Val Verde County. Ortiz has since failed to comply with Registering as a Sex Offender.
  • March 08, 2007 - In the early morning hours of March 7,2007, the long run of a serial bank robber came to an end thanks to the combined efforts of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF), the Dallas/Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (DFW/FAST) and the Dallas FBI Bank Robbery Squad. William Michael Rhodes was arrested at a Dallas motel with the loot from his latest heist.
     
  • March 01, 2007 - The United States Marshals Service is proud to announce that Zeke Brown is now reunited with his mother. His abductor, Will Brown is in custody in Mexico. The United States Marshals Service tracked Will Brown to Mexico City, Mexico to where he thought he was in safe hiding.
  • February 21, 2007 - On January 31, 2007 William Larry Brown abducted 13 month old Ezekiel David Brown (Zeke). Zeke was taken from his mother in Evans, Georgia, by his non custodial father, William Brown and two weeks later the car used in the abduction, a 2006 white Acura, was discovered in parking lot of the Triple C Steak House in Devine, Texas.
  • February 11, 2007 - On Saturday February 10, 2007 four year old Genesis Paredez found herself being fought over by her grandmother and her birth mother. The result was a grandmother being assaulted by her own daughter and an intense manhunt for a missing four year old girl. Sunday afternoon the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Western District of Texas, reunited Genesis with her grandmother.
  • February 06, 2007 - On February 2nd, 2007, United States Marshals in Corpus Christi arrested Juan Ramirez on warrants issued by Ector County for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.
  • January 31, 2007 - On January 29, 2007 the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) El Paso Division started a week long round-up of state and local fugitives. As of Wednesday 31st, the LSFTF has arrested over eighty-five (85) fugitives and cleared over a one hundred (100) state and federal warrants.
  • January 30, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Western District of Texas, arrested Shane Kerner.  Kerner, a hurricane Katrina refugee, was wanted for Attempted Murder out of Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana.
  • January 30, 2007 -  San Antonio Police Department’s Repeat Offenders (ROP) Unit received a frantic telephone call from a woman late last Friday stating that her ex-husband from Fort Worth, Juan Guzman, was threatening to come back to San Antonio and kill her.
  • January 29, 2007 - On January 26, 2007, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Western District of Texas, received a request for immediate assistance from the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office to assist them in locating kidnapper Timothy Williams.
  • January 25, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Andrew Mendez, Jr. for the felony offense of Indecency with a Child. Mendez is accused of driving around nude and exposing himself to young girls attending school in the San Antonio Independent School District.
  • January 25, 2007 - On January 24, 2007, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested fugitives Elmore and Michelle Sadler. The married couple was wanted for federal narcotics violations out of the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division.
  • January 25, 2007 - A career felon’s latest run from the law came to an end today at the hands of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Rogers Marshall was wanted by the City of Waco Police Dept. for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Burglary of a Habitation, and Terroristic Threats. Marshall is the primary suspect in a recent series of violent crimes against women.
  • January 25, 2007 - One of the New Orleans Police Department’s “Top 20 Priority Warrants” was arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. Anthony Sylve was wanted for aggravated assault and drug violations. Sylve had been living in the San Antonio area since Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast region.
  • January 25, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested David Glenn Clancy for the felony offense of "Retaliation". Clancy had blamed a San Antonio area school when, resulting from an investigation stemming from an anonymous tip, Child Protective Services recently removed his children from his home.
  • January 23, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Midland Division, announces the arrest of Juan Ramon Morales.  In March of 2003, Juan Morales kidnapped two 5 year old twin girls in Odessa, Texas and violently sexually assaulted them both.
  • January 21, 2007 - A serial rapist’s long run of terror in the Central Texas area came to an end Saturday, officers of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher Jerome Howard at a rodeo in McGregor, TX.
  • January 19, 2007 - William Harrison Blackwell had changed his name, changed his look, changed his friends, and relocated after the 1988 murder in Ector County, Texas. All his efforts to avoid justice were ended yesterday when the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Blackwell outside the Universal City apartment complex in which he was staying.
  • January 17, 2007 - The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Midland Division, announces the arrest of Lawrence Eugene Wynne. Lone Star Fugitive Task Force investigators had tracked Wynne to a residence in Tyler, Texas. On Tuesday, January 16, 2006, the United States Marshals Service, Tyler Division, arrested Wynne for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration.
  • January 17, 2007 - Fredral Latell Shade is alleged to be one of the leaders of multi-defendant crack cocaine distribution ring in the Permian Basin. Since his indictment on October 25, 2006, Shade has been on the run from law enforcement authorities. On Friday January 12, 2006, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, led by the United States Marshals Service in the Western District of Texas, tracked Shade to a residence in Grand Prairie, Texas.
  • January 11, 2007 - Dennis Wayne Harvey, Jr., 28, of Austin was arrested aboard the Shrimp Boat “Michael Lynn” off the Savannah, Georgia coast by the United States Marshals Service, Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Untied States Coast Guard, Station Tybee out of Tybee Island, Georgia. Harvey had been the subject of an intense manhunt since a November 3, 2006 crime spree in Austin during which Harvey allegedly carjacked 4 vehicles, shooting a victim and then fleeing the state.
