Oct 5: Departure from Dutch Harbor 2. Oct 6: Problems with carrier gas. By the end of the cell the pipette did not get filled properly. 3. Oct 9: The system is noisy. A new cell was prepared. 4. Oct 10: The program hang up during CRM titration. The CRM was rerun. 5. Oct 11: Bad gas calibration. 6. Oct 16: The actuator was changed. The old one double/triple pumped occasionally. 7. Oct 17: A new gas standard was set on line. The calibration factor was now higher. 8. Oct 18: The calibration factor was at the normal level again (1.00422). 9. Oct 23: The system was shut down at 17:30, arrival to Seattle. Data Reduction and Quality Control: 1. The LabView SOMMA program was used the first time. 2. LAT, LONG and TSG S were merged. 3. Salinity correction was applied for the samples. SOMMA program calculates the CRM values using certified CRM salinity values and therefore a salinity correction was not done for the CRMs. A measured salinity value is also in the file to show how well the salinity sensor is working. 4. CRM correction: Batch 45 Batch 43 Average: 2003.661534 1996.190485 Stdev: 2.160353085 1.73688355 Certified Value: 1994.17 1988.64 Offset: -9.491534433 -7.550484535 CRM correction: (-9.49-7.55)/2= -8.52 5. Quality control: The following plots were created and used to evaluate the data: TCO2 vs. Julian Time TCO2 vs. LAT TCO2 vs. LONG Chlorophyll vs. Julian Time Chlorophyll vs. LAT Chlorophyll vs. LONG Chlorophyll vs. TCO2 Temperature vs. TCO2 Salinity vs. TCO2 fCO2 (water) vs. TCO2 fCO2 (air) vs. TCO2
