This large filament channel wrapping around the North Polar Crown is now stable and quiet. Large expanding loops from AR 8124 in SE. INSTRUMENT STATUS ----------------- CDS: Nominal. Yesterday: North coronal hole observations in GIS until midnight tonight. Reduced synoptics program continues with low telemetry rate. SUMER: Door closed, not observing. UVCS: Nominal. Yesterday: Solar wind studies observed S pole at 4.2R. Today: Starting 12 day global sun study and synoptics. Polar angle scans at 1.5R-4.3R at 285 degrees. LASCO: Now Nominal. Submode switch last night caused LASCO reboot Submode #2 galatic map high cadence campaign started at 14:23 UT and will continue until Jan 2, 1998 EIT: Now Nominal. 195 full field full resolution images at 10 min cadence in Submode 2. Daily synoptic full field sets taken once a day only and will continue till Jan 2, 1998. MDI: Nominal. Mag movies campaign (full disk and high resolution alternating every 5 mins) for the next 2 weeks.
