Sonja Stringer
Sonja Stringer, MPH, is a Research Associate in the Office of the Associate Director,
Applied Research Program. She has several years of research experience focused primarily
on pediatric and adolescent health. Ms. Stringer has worked on a variety of federal and
state-funded programs as well as an international research initiative aimed examining MMR
vaccines link to autism in children. Most recently, she coordinated a multi-year National
Heart Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI)-funded clinical trial aimed at improving health
care outcomes of teenagers with asthma living in Detroit. She received both her BA and
her Master of Public Health from the University of Michigan. Ms. Stringer works on several
projects including the Tobacco Use Supplement-Current Population Survey (TUS-CPS),
Provider Screening Surveys, and Adolescent and Young Adult Survivorship Survey.
