Research Program

My investigative program falls within the general theme of Environmentally Acceptable Endpoints, which is divided into three research areas:

1) Molecular mechanisms of microbial transformation of metal oxyanions and aromatic organic compounds;

2) Development and use of synchrotron radiation-based spectromicroscopy and other molecular probes for detecting and imaging cellular responses to stimuli in living systems; and

3) Development of in vivo and in vitro methods for characterizing oral absorption and biokinetics of environmental contaminants.
