CHANGES EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 1984:

New areas:

	NAPLES, FL MSA (5345)
	   Collier County
	      Naples city

	SANTA FE, NM MSA (7490)
	   Los Alamos County
	   Santa Fe County
	      Santa Fe city

New titles:

Cape Coral city, Florida qualified as a new central city of the FORT MYERS, 
FL MSA.  With this central city addition, the title for the MSA became the 
FORT MYERS-CAPE CORAL, FL MSA.

KANSAS CITY, MO-KANSAS CITY, KS CMSA and component PMSAs (KANSAS CITY, KS; 
KANSAS CITY, MO) were abolished to form the KANSAS CITY, MO-KS MSA (3760).


CHANGES EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 30, 1984:

New title:

ST. LOUIS-EAST ST. LOUIS-ALTON, MO-IL CMSA and component PMSAs (ALTON-GRANITE 
CITY, IL; EAST ST. LOUIS-BELLEVILLE, IL; ST. LOUIS, MO-IL) were abolished to 
form the ST. LOUIS, MO-IL MSA (7040).

Kannapolis city, North Carolina qualified as a new central city of the 
CHARLOTTE-GASTONIA-ROCK HILL, NC-SC MSA.  The city was not incorporated in 
1980.			

Roseville city, California qualified as a new central city of the SACRAMENTO, 
CA MSA.
			
New title:

West Lafayette, Indiana qualified as a new central city of the LAFAYETTE, IN 
MSA.  With this central city addition, the title for the MSA became the 
LAFAYETTE-WEST LAFAYETTE, IN MSA.


CHANGES EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 1986:

New area:

	MERCED, CA MSA (4940)
	   Merced County

CHANGES EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 30, 1986:

Harvey County, Kansas was added to the WICHITA, KS MSA.

    (Note: a small part of Alliance city is in Mahoning County, a component 
    of the YOUNGSTOWN-WARREN, OH MSA.  (No population in that part in 1980).

Pharr city, Texas qualified as a central city of the McALLEN-EDINBURG-MISSION, 
TX MSA.

			
CHANGES EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 30, 1989:

New title:
		
Easton, Pennsylvania was added to the title of the ALLENTOWN-BETHLEHEM, 
PA-NJ MSA  to become the ALLENTOWN-BETHLEHEM-EASTON, PA-NJ MSA.


CHANGES EFFECTIVE JUNE 30, 1990:

New central city:

Henderson city, Kentucky qualified as a central city of the EVANSVILLE, 
IN-KY MSA. 

New title:

Morganton, North Carolina qualified as a new central city of the HICKORY, NC 
MSA.  With this central city addition, the title for the MSA became the 
HICKORY-MORGANTON, NC MSA.
