A microwave will also be constructed to permit Bennett College to access an existing uplink at North Carolina A&T State University. $458,700 Washington 93284 Washington State University (Pullman) To extend the signal of public radio station KRFA-FM operating on 91.7 MHz in Moscow, ID, by establishing a full power repeater in Cottonwood to bring a first public radio service to 11,100 residents of central Idaho. $16,918 West Virginia 93046 West Virginia Educational Broadcasting Authority (Charleston) To improve the operations of public television station WSWP-TV, Ch. 9, Grandview, WV, by replacing a badly worn and inadequate master control switcher (with associated monitors, controllers, etc.), and to acquire a new CCD color field camera/VTR (with associated lenses, tripods, etc.). WSWP-TV is one of three public television stations in a statewide system, and serves approximately 900,000 viewers as the sole service in south-central West Virginia. $45,011 93280 Pocahontas Community Cooperative Corp. (Dunmore) To extend and improve the service of public radio station WVMR-AM, 1370 KHz, Dunmore, WV, by constructing two repeater transmitters to serve residents of Bath and Highland Counties. WVMR will provide twelve hours per day of programming via STL to the two FM transmitters; local origination studios at the transmitter sites will add up to six hours per day of local programming. WVMR-AM currently serves 10,000 listeners; the new transmitters will bring first public radio service to an additional 7,500 persons. $139,003 Wisconsin 93236 Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwa Broad (Hayward) To improve the transmission and programming capabilities of WOJB, 88.9 MHz, Hayward, WI, by replacing its STL, remote control, on-air console, reel-to-reel tape recorders, cart machine, turntables and watt meter. This public radio station is owned and operated by the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Ojibwa Indians. WOJB's signal serves 4 reservations and 7 surrounding counties in northwest Wisconsin. $14,450 93274 Wisconsin Educational Communications Board (Madison) To improve the broadcast signals of five radio and three television public broadcasting stations licensed to the Wisconsin Educational Communications Board (WECB) by replacing wornout and obsolete transmission facilities and by increasing the power of two of the television stations: WHWC, Ch. 28, Menomonie/Eau Claire, and WLEF, Ch. 36 in Park Falls, with the replacement of each antenna. The increase will bring first public TV service to approximately 13,507 viewers. The other stations are WHSA, 89.9 MHz, in Brule, WPNE, 89.3 MHz, in Green Bay, WHLA, 90.3 MHz, in La Crosse, WHBM, 90.3 MHz, in Park Falls, and WHRM-TV, Ch. 20, and WHRM-FM, 90.9 MHz, in Wausau. $715,807
