The Asia Foundation, based in San Francisco, is a private non-profit, non-governmental organization working to promote the mutual interests of the USA and the countries of Asia and the Asia Pacific region. The website contains perspective papers and project reports on the countries where the Asia Foundation is active.

Asia Pacific Research Network (http://www.aprnet.org/)
Network of research NGOs in the region aiming at exchanging information on international issues, technologies, and methods in research. Also provides newsletters and publications.

The Association for Asian Studies (AAS) (http://www.aasianst.org/)
The AAS is the largest society of its kind in the world. It is a scholarly, non-political, non-profit professional association open to all persons interested in Asia. It seeks through publications, meetings, and seminars to facilitate contact and an exchange of information among scholars to increase their understanding of East, South, and Southeast Asia. Its members include scholars, business people, diplomats, and journalists.

H-Asia Discussion Network is a member of H-Net Humanities & Social Sciences. The primary purpose of H-ASIA is to enable historians and other scholars of Asia to easily communicate their current research. The site includes recent reviews published and recent messages posted by H-Asia.
