IRT Strainer Maintenance

1. OBSERVE PERFORMANCE DURING OPERATION - Check for

vibration, leaks, operation of controls, limit

switches, pressure switches, and any other control and

operating mechanism.

2. CLEAN THE STRAINER - Isolate the strainer by closing

the inlet and outlet valves. Unscrew drain plug and

remove basket. If clogged, remove strainer body and

power wash from inlet. Replace basket and drain plug.

Open inlet and outlet valves. Check for leaks at

system's maximum operating pressure.

3. CLEAN EQUIPMENT AND SURROUNDING AREA - Clean dust, oil,

grease, and water from the equipment and surrounding

area. Use a relatively lint free cloth for cleaning.
