6/30/04 | Tolerance Exemption Established - This regulation establishes an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the microbial active ingredient Aspergillus flavus NRRL 21882 on peanuts when applied/used in accordance with label directions. Circle One of Shellman, GA submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA), requesting an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance. This regulation eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of Aspergillus flavus NRRL 21882 on peanuts. |

6/11/03 | Experimental Use Permit Application - Circle One Global, Inc., One Arthur St., P.O. Box 28, Shellman, GA 39886-0028, has applied for an EUP for field testing of a new end-use product of a microbial pesticide containing the active ingredient, Aspergillus flavus NRRL 21882, in a non-crop destruct program. The product is to be ground applied and is a granular formulation. The requested EUP is for a total of 5,000 acres to be treated for a total application of 10 lbs of the active ingredient. Application of the pesticide is proposed to reduce aflatoxin-producing colonies of Aspergillus flavus on the crop and in the soil by competitive displacement. Testing of 100 lbs of the active ingredient will occur in three States: Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. |
