GLICKMAN TO VISIT MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY TO DISCUSS FOOD SAFETY

     WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 1998--Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman will
visit Michigan State University's Food Safety and Toxicology Center on Feb.
18, 1998 at 1:30 p.m.  Glickman will join Rep. Debbie Stabenow to host a
forum on food safety and will discuss the Clinton Administration's new Food
Safety Initiative.

     There will be a media availability following the forum.
