The FDA needs to have an immediate news conference to let patients with
hypothyroidism that they should continue taking their thyroid hormone
replacement and that there is no serious problem with Synthroid. The
announcement that the drug may come off the market in August is creating
a frenzy of phone calls and unwarranted concern by patients. Please make
a public announcement to quell this unnecessary uproar. Thank you.
