{description}   On a normal day of activity prior to the launch of mission STS-
                95, the parking lot (foreground), plus the grandstand and
                buildings at the Press Site (beyond and to the right), are easily
                located from the air. The view gives no indication of the media
                frenzy the launch would generate with the return to space of John
                H. Glenn Jr., a senator from Ohio, whose first flight was aboard
                Friendship 7 in February 1962, and the first American to orbit
                the Earth. Glenn is one of a crew of seven on board Space Shuttle
                Discovery for the nine-day mission.
