The larger the room, the larger should be the print on the transparancies. Letters should not be less than 5 mm high (font size 14 point). Handwritten transparancies should also have large writing and be readable from a distance. Check the quality of your transparancies by testing one with the video operator before the meeting. 2. If color is used, it should have good contrast with the background. If it doesn't xerox well, it won't transmit well. Avoid yellow, orange and pastel colors. 3. Do not show FORTRAN or C++ code unless absolutely necessary to make your point. 4. Do not show tables full of small numbers. 5. Do not jiggle or play with the transparancies. 6. Do not block the line of sight between the camera and the screen. 7. Please repeat any questions from the audience before starting to answer them. Following these guidelines will help local as well as remote audiences get more out of the talks!
