VIEWING BLIND

Viewing BlindChris Byrd, along with 19 members of troop #564 spent approximately 117 hours and $250 planning and implementing the 26th Eagle Scout project at Two Ponds. It will provide even better and less obtrusive wildlife viewing experiences. The troop worked long and hard to design and build an environmentally-friendly wildlife viewing blind now located on the Refuge. Chris’s troops’ outstanding service project will improve both the recreational and educational opportunities for the public while also limiting the disturbance to the native wildlife living there.

This new addition to the Refuge will be utilized by students, naturalists, photographers, and the general public, and his troops efforts will be appreciated by visitors and wildlife alike for years to come. We are grateful for Chris and his troop’s contribution to Two Ponds!
