DTSA on Windows

3. Installation of SheepShaver
I am sure there are several ways to install SheepShaver. However, I have used the following way (at least woking to me).
  1. Create a folder for SheepShaver, e.g. C:\SheepShaver. I have created this folder in the root of the C drive. But you can have such folders anywhere you want.

  2. Unzip the downloaded SheepShaver zip file and copy all the unziped files including subfolders into the folder created above.

  3. Copy a C:\Sheepshaver\CD-ROM drivers\cdenable.sys file to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers. You need a CD drive for MacOS installation!

  4. Unzip SDL-1.2.11-win32.zip and copy a sdl.dll file into the SheepShaver folder.

  5. Install GTK+ runtime by double clicking the gtk-win32-2.10.6-1.exe file.
Should not forget to check the box of Register environment variables.

  6. Run SheepShaverGUI.exe in the SheepShaver folder by double clicking the icon.
If you see the following error message, (1) copy xmlparse.dll and xmltok.dll files from the C:\gtk\bin folder (if you install gtk+ with the default setting) into the SheepShaver folder or (2) add the path of "C:\gtk\bin" manually to the "Environment variables".
Personally, I recommend the (2) approach.
