Housing:
A block of rooms has been set aside for attendees at the Comfort
Inn, Shady Grove, at the Government rate of $64. + 12% tax per
night for a single room, $74. + 12% tax for a double room. Attendees
should contact the hotel directly to make reservations by May
15, 2000. State that you are attending the Summer School on Neutron
Small Angle Scattering and Reflectometry from Submicron Structures,
and that you are entitled to the special Government rate.

The room rate includes a buffet breakfast. The hotel also provides shuttle service to and from the Shady Grove Metro station until 9 PM. Shuttle reservations should be made a day in advance.
Transportation to Hotel:
Van service to hotels in the Gaithersburg area from National and
Dulles airports is available from Montgomery Airport Shuttle,
(800-525-1111; 301/990-6000), or Metro Airport Shuttle (800-996-9393;
301/279-2222) for approximately $20-$23, or from Baltimore-Washington
Airport from BWI Limo: (301) 441-2345 for about $35. Reservations
are needed.
The Washington Metro has subway service to Gaithersburg from Washington
National Airport. The travel time from National Airport to the
Shady Grove station in Gaithersburg, the terminus of the Red Line
Train, is about 50 minutes. NIST and local hotels are a short
taxi ride from the Shady Grove station or you may call the Comfort
Inn for a shuttle pickup.

Transportation from Hotel
to NIST:
A NIST vehicle will be provided to pick up attendees at the Comfort
Inn each morning, and return them to the hotel in the late afternoon.
