Next we have three lectures given on three separate occasions all with essentially the same
message. The first I gave as an address presented as the Annual Aaron Brown Lecture, Tulane
University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana, March 17, 1987. Aaron Brown was an
alumnus of my own medical school.. .Comell.. and he founded the host organization for this
lecture, Phi Delta Epsilon. I then placed Dr. Brown in history by pointing out that medicine
wasn't the big story then that it is now. Then it was physics . . .especially radioactivity and
electricity. The big names of his day that dominated the world of science were Roentgen and
Max Planck.. .the Curies, Marie and Pierre.. .and Marconi.. and Einstein.

I then went on to give a lecture on smoking, which appears after two more title pages.
