Lasiochalcidia igiliensis (Masi) (Chalcidoidea: Chalcididae) in dorsal view (left) and parasitizing an ant lion (Neuroptera: Myrmeleontidae) (right). The females of species in this genus typically induce the ant lion into attacking, then leap into its jaws and allow the antlion to grasp a leg while the chalcid oviposits into the prothoracic region just behind the head (Figs. from Steffan 1961).
