Le interviste per ottenere un visto avvengono solo previo appuntamento. Per informazioni generali e per appuntamenti, contattare il servizio informazioni sui visti al numero telefonico a pagamento 899.34.34.32 (tariffa: 1,80 Euro al minuto), operativo dalle 8.30 alle 17:00 dal lunedì al venerdì eccetto nelle festività americane ed italiane.

È possibile accedere al Servizio Informazione Visti dall'estero chiamando il numero (+39) 02-30329656. Il costo del servizio è di EURO 15.00 indipendentemente dalla durata della chiamata, a cui vanno aggiunti i costi della chiamata internazionale verso l'Italia, che dipendono dal vostro gestore telefonico. Il costo del servizio deve essere addebitato ad una carta di credito del circuito Visa o MasterCard. Non è possibile usare carte Bancomat. Il servizio è operativo dalle 8.30 alle 17:00 (ora italiana, GMT+1) dal lunedì al venerdì eccetto nelle festività americane ed italiane.

An e-Passport contains an embedded, contactless integrated circuit chip that stores a passport holder’s biographic information and biometrics – digitized photographs and finger scans.

E-Passports are part of a multi-layered approach to reduce the widespread use of fraudulent passports without impeding the flow of legitimate trade and travel to the United States. With e-Passports, visitors traveling to the United States under the VWP – approximately 13 million people each year – can transmit their biographic and biometric information quickly, conveniently and securely to readers at U.S. ports of entry. Travelers applying for admission under the Visa Waiver Program are allowed to enter the United States for up to 90 days for business or pleasure without obtaining a non-immigrant visa.
