Description: Tempi’po’op (pronounced tumpee poo oop) means “rock writing” in Southern Paiute. The Tempi’po’op Trail traverses the geographic formation known as Land Hill, which was heavily used by both the Ancestral Puebloans and Southern Paiute. Numerous petroglyphs (rock writing) are accessible for viewing from this trail. In addition to the petroglyphs, the views of the surrounding area are another attraction. A mix of old road and single track, the trail is rugged and steep in places.
