Insurance Agent Continuing Education Credit/Co-op Advertising

The National Flood Insurance Program seminar and the Business Ethics course have been filed for continuing education credit in both Ohio and Kentucky. The flood seminar has been filed for 4 hours while the business ethics class will receive 3 hours credit.  Both seminars have new 2008 filings!

Increased reimbursable funds are available when any agent in an agency that participates in the NFIP Co-op Advertising program completes this flood insurance training course.

	The Ohio Department of Insurance and the Kentucky Office of Insurance in conjunction with Section 207 of the National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004 now require that agents writing flood insurance receive minimum flood insurance training. 

	The deadline for Ohio agents holding an active license is December 31, 2008. Newly licensed agents in Ohio must complete training by the end of their first compliance year. 

	Both states have identified separate continuing education categories for flood insurance training. This course has been approved in those categories in both Ohio and Kentucky 

    What You Will Learn

This seminar provides a series of building blocks that address not only the most basic flood insurance issues, but some more advanced components as well.

At the conclusion of this seminar, attendees with little or no prior NFIP experience as well as more experienced attendees will have a better understanding of the National Flood Insurance Program and it operations. 
	
	This course has been approved in Ohio and Kentucky for 4 hours of CE credit.

This course is designed to provide information on ethical business and insurance practices. It addresses ethical topics that an agent would deal with in his or her day-to-day insurance work. 

This seminar addresses the fact that insurance laws must always be followed, but beyond that who determines the “right” course of action?  

Since ethics have no clear guidelines beyond the laws that are imposed on the insurance industry, the course also addresses how an agent makes these value determinations.  

Due diligence and fair consumer practices are examined in the context of accepting personal responsibility in selecting and presenting products. 

This seminar is designed for all insurance professionals who work with clients in all areas of insurance.

This course has been filed for 3 hours of Ohio and Kentucky continuing education credit.

It can be taken as a stand alone course or be combined with the NFIP course to earn 7 CE credits in one day.
