David Abler is an Education Program Leader of the Education Office and the Building Manager of the Lederman Science Education Center at Fermilab. Dave has established and administers Science Adventures at Fermilab a program of informal, hands-on science and mathematics courses for pre-college students, families and teachers. Dave has also established as Internship Program which gives field experience opportunities for undergraduate college students of education, biology or environmental science. In order to provide instruction and guidance for Science Center visitors and Education Office program participants, Dave has developed and administers a docent program.

Dave received both a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction and a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has studied Entomology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has developed and taught science courses, ranging from Physical Science to Human Anatomy and Physiology, at the junior high school, senior high school and university levels. In addition to his teaching, Dave has worked in a variety of applied science positions including supervisor of an environmental testing laboratory, laboratory technician at the Invertegrate Zoology section of the Milwaukee Public Museum and owner operator of his own pest control service. Dave also has over thirteen years experience in business management.
