Betsy A. Riley Technical Information Communications Specialist Facility Contact 5700 west end 2nd floor Computer Science and Mathematics Division Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Betsy Riley transferred to the Computer Science and Mathematics Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory on October 1, 1998, as technical assistant to the division director. The position has at times included operational responsibilities (facility management, ISMS, QA, etc.) and stewardship of the CSM websites. Betsy coordinates ORNL research exhibits at conferences such as the SCxy series (SC98, SC99, SC2000, SC2001, SC2002, SC2003, SC2004, SC2005, SC2006) and was responsible for the original content for the High-Performance Computing and Simulation Science trees for the ORNL public web.

Betsy is webmaster of the DOE Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC) website (scidac.gov). Betsy is also the Infrastructure chair organizing the 2007 SciDAC conference. Betsy also organized the 2006 conference and handled proceedings and website for the 2005 conference. Betsy has been "pitcher" on the SCxy PR committee since SC2001 and is currently volunteering on the SC2007 and SC2008 Communications committee (media relations/press room) and the SC2007 HPC Analytics Challenge committee.
