Files maybe ftp'ed from the public or pub directory.

Some of the older FTP clients, which do not conform to the FTP
specifications, barf on these multi-line messages.  Multi-line
messages can be disabled on a per-connection basis.  If your FTP
client crashes or hangs shortly after login, try using a dash (-)
as the first character of your password.  This will turn off
the informational messages which may be confusing your ftp client.

If you are a CAGEX user, follow the instructions given to you.  
If you supplied garbage as your anonymous password, please log 
off and back on.  We need to know the users of this data, in 
case we come across something we need to change.
