Subject:   Public spectrum

Broadcasting using the electromagnetic spectrum has been the
preserve of the rich and powerful -- until now.  We have at hand
the means whereby individuals can broadcast or narrowcast, free
of interference from each other thanks to new digital signal
processing techniques.  Cheap, widespread digital broadcasting
will ensure technical innovation.  All that remains is for the
FCC commissioners is to allow it, and usher in a new age of
cheap, wireless communications -- or to disallow it, ensuring
needlessly expensive communications for years to come.  The
future awaits.  Say "yes" to cheap digital, wireless
communication.
