Subject: Community Reinvestment -- RIN 3064-AC50

I am opposed to the change that would allow 96% of banks to escape scrutiny of their lending activities. Raising the threshold to banks with $250 million or more assets would cut the heart out of the CRA which has been fantastically successful in making monies available to fund low-income housing. I am an attorney in New York City whose clients are the working poor. Without government subsidies of various sorts, most of them would be effectively homeless. The CRA has worked well for more than 30 years. The proposed change would alter the playing field to the permanent disadvantage of the voiceless masses.
