Radiation in Perspective

Within the range of radiation frequencies, called the electromagnetic spectrum, cell phones fall between TVs and microwave ovens, At that level, many scientists believe the radiation from cell phones couldn't conceivably impair human health.

The following items emit radiation and are listed in order from those that emit the least amount (power lines) to those that emit the most (medical x-rays):

• power lines
• radio
• television
• cell phone
• microwave oven
• heating lamp
• tanning both
• medical x-rays
