Genetically engineered foods must be labeled so consumers have choice and more importantly they must be TESTED for safety. The fact that these types of foods have flooded our grocery shelves with little or no regard for public health is proof of the overwhelming influence that special interest money has on our public policy. The FDA needs to do what it should have done to begin with and that is to put the health and well-being of the American public first by labeling and testing these unproven bioengineered foods.
