Purpose: This data set was created as part of the North Carolina Source Water Assessment Program (SWAP). This data is used in the calculation of vertical hydraulic conductance ratings, one of the factors needed to complete the unsaturated zone rating of public water supplies in North Carolina. Supplemental_Information: A depth-to-water map was generated for the State of North Carolina. For the Coastal Plain and Piedmont Provinces, a regression equation was developed to estimate depth to water based on water-level records for 872 wells.
