Dear FDA,
  
I don't understand why issues like this are not common sense to policy 
 makers.  Although GE foods allow many profitable advantages, the long run 
is not yet known and for that reason i do not consume such products.  i 
have many rights as a US citizen inwhich i am VERY thankful for so why do 
i not have the right to know EXACTLY what seed my food was grown from and 
what the companies reseach has shown?
I am aware that these foods could be toxic to not just myself but to other 
species on this planet. with the recent scare in europe i am very 
concerned with this issue.  our food and water is the staple for our 
survival. yet time again i do not believe they are treated with the 
respect that is given to the large corporations that are playing god with 
our future.  i understand why we need to research ways to grow more food 
to feed the world. but our farming practices, ei: factory farming of 
livestock and GE crops, have the potential to destroy essential ecosystems 
and that is a practice that i do not wish to participate in.  


Your proposed rules ignore serious concerns, and appear to be a decision 
made to convenience industry at the expense of public health and the 
environment. I will not accept your attempt to make me a guinea pig of 
these untested foods, and I trust you will take my concern along with the 
thousands of others into serious consideration.
