Each time I must reference a JGR article, I'm forced to waste two precious hours (or more) and go down to the EPS library on campus. But most of the time, I just fly in the dark without having accessed a needed reference. This situation is not good for my scientific research. srpride@lbl.gov Z Please bring back Current Contents. There are many more journals that were accessible through the Elsevier on-line service that might be lost. Going to campus, going to all the various libraries to find the articles I need and spending hours copying them used to take up a significant proportion of my time (~1 day per month). Even articles available in the LBNL library required going there and copying them. It is a shame that this is rapidly being taken away with little or no consultation. I can think of many other things the Laboratory spends money on that I would cut before this. Other journals I routinely use on-line include: 1. Environmental Science and Technology 2. Analytical Chemistry 3.
