Congresswoman Bordallo Reacts to the Passing of Joe Murphy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 5, 2009 – Washington, D.C. –

Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today issued the following statement on the passing of Joe Murphy: 

“I am saddened by the passing of Joe Murphy. He will always be remembered as a former editor for the Pacific Daily News and as a sharp-witted columnist.  His insights on island life made us laugh, think and debate through the years. He will be remembered as a gifted writer and as a dear friend to many.  His accomplishments and contributions are the ultimate OOG – Only On Guam,” Congresswoman Bordallo said today. “My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Marion, their children and grandchildren, and to his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.  Adios Gachong.”
