SPACE WEATHER

SOLAR ACTIVITY FORECAST: SOLAR ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO BE LOW TO MODERATE.
M-CLASS FLARE PROBABLILITIES MAY INCREASE AS REGION 8393 (S18E62) AND REGION
8395 ROTATE FURTHER TO THE WEST. THE LOCATION OF REGION 8395 CORRELATES WELL
WITH OLD REGION 8375, WHICH PRODUCED A MAJOR FLARE AND A SOLAR PROTON EVENT
DURING ITS LAST ROTATION. 

GEOPHYSICAL ACTIVITY FORECAST: THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD IS EXPECTED TO BE QUIET TO
UNSETTLED WITH ISOLATED ACTIVE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE. 

Dark Surge from NE limb. Darkening at 22:12 UT followed by NNE CME.  This
CME also seen in LASCO C2 and C3 images.
Through the night EIT observed bright jet activity from AR 8393 in SE.
A 'mote' like darkening around AR just East of central meridian
seen with EIT 284A, very interesting.  Looks to be cooler than normal material.

EIT	Nominal.  CME Watch at 12 min cadence 195A 
	 
LASCO 	Nominal.  C2 and C3 synotics for CME events
	C1 FP door closed program 2-hour cadence in FeXIV/Clear
	FP PZT #3 is now powered to zero volts while #1 and 2 are at 100v.
	
UVCS	Nominal. Completed star Delta Sco observations.
	The He I Focusing Cone program and synoptics through
	the holidays.
	
SUMER 	Powered-Off 

CDS	Nominal.  Last night took synoptics and Active region
	high cadence quiet sun measure at disk center which will stay
	at a fixed point and observe the sun rotation below. 
	Today: Blinkers Study in MDI hig res field
	Tomorrow: Weekly engineering and calibrations then High cadence 
	transition region study.

MDI	Nominal.  Running 3 variable high res campaign today in
	bottom half on high res field.
