To reach the tidal bench marks from the east junction of State Highway 20 and U.S. Highway 331 in Freeport, proceed SW along U.S. Highway 331 for 8.7 km (5.4 mi) to Jolly Bay Road, then turn left and proceed east on Jolly Bay Road for 1.6 km (1.0 mi) to a T-junction, then turn left and proceed south on Fluffy Landing Road for 0.3 km (0.2 mi) to the residence of John L. Miller. The bench marks are west of the Miller residence and along Fluffy Landing Road. The tide gage and staff were located on a private dock in the rear of the residence.
