Host: Grasses. Adults Present: July Notes: Like the other species of Meriniria except dorsum with two pale ivory bands, converging at midsection of forew- ings. Not econon-dcally important. Notes: Band-winged with red or yellow basal area on hind wing and spur on hind wing band; black streak through lower part of eyes and black mark on lateral pronotum; two distinct half-bands on tegniina; inner hind femora black with white ring distally; hind tibiae blue. Distribution in New Mexico: Bemalillo, Dofia Ana, Hidalgo, Luna, Rio Arriba, Roosevelt, San Juan, Socorro, Tor- rance, Valencia. Habitat: Adobe flats, desert, shale Nils. Host: Unknown. Adults Present: July-September. Notes: Similar to M. plattei, but paler and lacks black band between eye and frontal ridge; basal area of hind wing red or orange; hind tibiae blue.
